Building the Longest Line of Backpacks.

Backpacks 4 Vic Kids (B4VK) is thrilled to present an audacious goal to break the Guinness World Record for the highest number of backpacks in a continuous line and by doing so, support thousands of kids in crisis. We’ll need your help to achieve this! 

We are a registered charity with DGR status. Our purpose is to provide material aid to children and youth, experiencing displacement, relocation and homelessness in our community (mainly Victoria).

Backpacks and items donated to this challenge will help us fulfill increasing requests for support.

Event Details: 

  • Event Name: Backpacks 4 Vic Kids World Record Challenge 
  • Date: Wednesday 6th November 2024 
  • Time: Open to the public from 9am
    • Bump in from 7:30am, bump out by 3pm
  • Location: Melbourne Showgrounds - Exhibition Pavilion  Building 1

World Record Attempt: The primary focus of the event will be to break the current Guinness World Record of 3,892 backpacks and duffle bags in a row, held by DLP Realty in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA. 

Community Engagement: The event will feature family-friendly activities to attract patrons, food vans, event sponsors, B4VK supporter stands, and opportunities for community involvement. Schools, Clubs, for-cause organisations and businesses will all be encouraged to participate and be part of making history together.

1. The “Backpacks Besty” Sponsor  $1000 (+ cost of new backpacks if required)
  • Your brand on collateral, event website and onsite marking your donated backpacks in the longest line
  • Min 3x3 meter booth to display and sell your products
  • Be our Besty by donating backpacks. BYO (your branding is welcomed provided there are no anti-social or adults only themes) or let us purchase your backpacks at wholesale for you (Cost $16 per backpacks plus branding if desired). *Deadline to place backpacks order is 31 August 2024*
  • VIP Food and Beverage Package for your stand (4 x Main, Side, and Drink)
  • 2 car parks onsite
  • Our Besties are invited to celebrate post-event at an intimate CBD gathering

2. The “World Record Warrior” Sponsor $500
  • Your name in lights alongside all our World Record contributors.
  • 3x3 meter booth to showcase your support and engage with the crowd 
  • Priority placement of your backpacks in the line. BYO (your branding is welcomed provided there are no anti-social or adults only themes) or let us purchase your backpacks at wholesale for you (Cost $16 per backpacks plus branding if desired). *Deadline to place backpacks order is 31 August 2024*
  • Food and Beverage Package for two.
  • 1 car park

3. The “Showcase” Sponsor 
  • A special deal for our fellow for-cause (NFPs) friends, joining this extraordinary event
  • 3x3 meter space to be part of the action and display your brand as we go for the Guinness title
  • Record-breakers are required to contribute a minimum of 50 backpacks or duffle bags
  • 1 car park
